With all this snow recently, I just had to try my hand at a technique which I've always loved, but never really mastered - high key photography.

OK, it's not strictly high-key, but the same kind of feel.

Most of the work was post-processed, but the original lighting (very flat - combined with a fill-in flash) was perfect for the style.

Taken in the grounds of the University of Reading, this photo was taken at the end of a bright sunny afternoon. It was post-processed for a more dramatic monochromatic effect.
