Guatemala
Of all the countries in Central America, Guatemala is probably of the most interest to the traveller. It has the most diverse range of ethnic groups within a tiny geographic area, many of which maintain their traditional ways of life, and modes of dress.
If only the security and safety factors were higher on the agenda - along with the dreadful transportation system! - then tourism as an industry could bring in the tourist dollars to a cash-strapped nation, much in need of support.
